Meet Recap

The Greensburg Cross Country competed in the IHSAA sectional meet Saturday afternoon at South Dearborn. Rising Sun’s Trevor Levi won the boys’ race in 17:00 while the Batesville Bulldogs won the team championship. The Pirates were 4th out of 11 schools in the team standings. Greensburg qualified for the regional meet for the third straight season. The performance also moved the Pirates’ record to 48-45 on the year.

Hunter Butz and Eric Million earned all-sectional recognition by finishing in the top 20 overall. Butz ran 18:34 for 17th, and Million was 18th place in a time of 18:38. Dylan Brown placed 23rd in 19:10. Devin Imel ran a season best of 19:54 to finish 35th. Blaine Schroeder crossed the finish line in 48th with a time of 21:07. Jaxson Kramer came in 51st overall in 21:36. Senior Dallas Crank was 63rd in 22:09.
