Meet Recap

The Greensburg Cross Country teams raced in the IHSAA sectional meet Saturday morning at South Dearborn. The girls’ team finished with 124 pts and placed 4th out of 11 teams. That performance qualified the Lady Pirates for the regional meet next week at Shelbyville. The top runner for Greensburg was junior Cathy Newhart. Cameron Jones also recorded her best time of the year. She was 13th in 20:58. Both Cathy and Cameron earned all-sectional recognition for the third year in a row.

Molly Brandes was Greensburg’s next finisher. She took 33rd in a time of 23:45. Charlotte Anderson had her best race of the season. She crossed the finish line in 35th place with a time of 24:05.
