The boys cross country was victorious on Tuesday evening at home. They defeated Hauser and South Decatur with seven of the top ten finishers. Hunter Butz took the lead from the starting gun and won the race in 18:30. Freshman Kole Stephens was the runner-up in 19:24. Senior Eric Million used a strong finish to cross the line in 4th with a time of 20:10. Jonathon Ralston led next the trio Pirates. Ralston was 5th in a personal best time of 20:33. Sawyer Sanders placed 6th in 20:43, and teammate Andrew Johnson took 7th in 21:02. Senior Dylan Brown was 10th in 22:03.
Other Pirate finishers include Skylar Westerfeld 11th, Caden Workman 12th, Chris Berkemeier 13th, Sean Slagle 15th, Alex Henderson 16th, Blaine Schroeder 17th, Dylan Gauck 18th, Josh Schneider 21st, and Jaxson Kramer 22nd. The boys now have a 7-1 record after three races. The Pirates will race a week from Saturday when they travel to Brown County for the Eagle Classic.
