The 46th Annual Greensburg Cross Country Invitational was Thursday evening. The Batesville Bulldogs won the girls’ meet on Thursday, and the Lady Pirates were second in the team standings.
Junior Liz Pavy was the top finisher for Greensburg. She led the race early and took 3rd overall. Brenner Hanna came in 5th with a time of 21:00. Sophomore Emily Mangels ran 21:03 and crossed the finish line in 6th place. Olivia Colson took 22nd in 23:59, and Sophie Nobbe placed 26th in 24:56.
Sarah Santiago was next for the Lady Pirates. She ran 26:20 to earn 35th place. Freshman Kylee Simpson finished in the top seven for Greensburg for the first time this season. Kylee finished 36th overall in 26:48. Charlotte Anderson was 37th in 26:54. Alyssa Willard placed 38th in 27:02, and Molly Brandes was 50th in 28:49. The girls have a record of 61-14 as they prepare for the sectional race next weekend.
