The Lady Pirates Track & Field team came home with 3 individual Conference Champions, 3 Runner Up Champions, a new school record and multiple personal bests Thursday night at the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference Championship meet. The Greensburg Girls team placed 3rd overall, with 92 points, in the EIAC. They were just 1 point shy of being the Runner Up Champions of the Conference. East Central won with 179, Franklin County 2nd (93), Batesville 4th (80), Rushville 5th (63), South Dearborn 6th (54), Connersville 7th (37), and Lawrenceburg 8th (25).

Individual EIAC Champions included Lily Grimes in shot put and Brenner Hanna in both the 1600 & 3200. Hanna was untouchable in both her events, leading the pack from the start, and set a new school record again in the 1600. EIAC Runner Up Champions were Grimes in discus, Anna West in Shot put, and Cathy Newhart in the 3200. Newhart set a new personal record in the 1600 with her 4th place 5:42.49 finish. She is the 8th fastest miler in school history. Other PRs came from Lexi Huber in the 400, Emma Wilmer in the 800, & Koregan Kidd in the 200.

The ladies are gearing up for the IHSAA Sectionals hosted by Franklin County of Tuesday night.
