Greensburg Lady Pirates met Triton Central Tigers in their last regular-season game. While it appeared throughout the game the pirates would take home the win they fell 3-2.
The Pirates struck first with a goal off Macey Smith’s foot from an assist by Emily Rosales 12 minutes into the game. The score of 1-0 would carry to the half. The tigers would light up the scoreboard with their first point of the game to tie but the Lady Pirates did not allow that celebration to last long. 20 seconds after the kickoff Smith would find the goal again with an assist from Mykenzi Morlan bringing the score to 2-1.
Even though the Pirates had a good possession game that was not enough. The Tigers would score two more points late in the second half that the Pirates could not answer.
